My time is merely an instant.
I look like all the rest
until you get close enough
to see my edges
and the places I sparkle.
When the fog rolls in
to take me home—I will remember you,
and come back another day.
When the sky is filled with clouds
and there’s a chill in the air.
And I land on your cheek to say hello.
